We finally got a tent and set out for our first real camping trip. We stayed for 2 days at the Myrtle Beach State Park.
The first night was fun. We made hobo dinners and then went for a wonderful moonlight walk on the beach.
The boys loved sleeping in the tent. We all woke up early and
we went for "hikes" on the trails. We had fun exploring nature.
In the afternoon the rain started falling. It was raining so hard we couldn't make a fire for dinner. We only had hot dogs to eat. So, we went and got a pizza and then set up the laptop for a family movie! It was fun. The rain didn't stop in the morning either, so it was an adventure to pack up camp in the rain.
All I have to say is thank you to our parents for having the energy to take us camping so much. It takes a lot out of you!
We really did have a great time and plan on doing it a few more times this summer.
