Grateful for...

ALL NEW FLOORS!! We feel so spoiled! We just got new carpet and new tile. So, our whole house feels brand new! Many thanks to Uncle Sam for making this possible (well I guess we did pay the taxes, but I am grateful they give some back). Here is a picture of our bedroom. It is shaggy berber carpet. Here is our bathroom with the new tile. Our neighbor actually had a bunch of tile left over from other jobs, so this tile was free. We paid to get it installed, but you can't beat that!! It is a nice porcelain tile and we love it.
We are so grateful for good neighbors. We had a doosy of a week last week and our awesome neighbors really helped us out. Here is the story... When the tile guy was disconnecting the toilet, the water shut off valve did not work. So, of course, we had to replace it so he could tile. You have to shut off the main water to your house, so we did that and fixed the toilet shut off valve. This was really easy. When we went back out to turn the main water on and it was stripped!! We thought it was just the handle, so we took that off and that was not it. By this time some of our neighbors were all huddled around to see what they could do. Well, eventually we just had to dig down to the pipe and just replace the pipe and the whole shut off valve. That had some complications in itself and so our neighbors were out with us helping until like 10:00. I know you believer's in Mighty Putty will be happy to know that we had to use some on the pipe and it is awesome!! I might become a believer in the Mighty Putty myself. Anyway, in the process of it all, we accidentally cut our cable line and something happened with the water heater (some of the electrical lines were smoldering!). Tyson had to fix a couple of the electrical lines inside the water heater and it works just fine now. So, needless to say, we are so glad we have the floors done and our house is in order now. We have hot water and cable...amazing!

We did take some time off on Saturday and went to the beach. The waves were pretty fun. I love Tyson's style on the longboard, it is so fun to watch...

The other exciting thing is that we just got a Clear Play DVD player. This filters out all the profanity, violence, etc. If you know us, you know we love movies. We are so excited for this. We had been saving our "entertainment" budget for a while and finally got it this last weekend. I think we watched 4 movies this weekend (2 each night). It was exactly what we needed to relax from this crazy busy week.
