In honor of pioneer day and our heritage, I would like to say, they had it rough!! We had to wash some clothes while we were in Nica. We did what amounted to about a load of laundry and it took two hours with two of us working on them! They have these "pilas" that are basically a washboard.
Soak, soap up, scrub, turn over, soap up, scrub, rinse, wring, hang up.
It took so long and by the end your fingers were tingling.
Not to mention the sun beating on you while you are washing.
If we lived this like, our kids would always be dirty.
This parrot lived at the hotel. The clipped his(?) wings so he was always around. Pretty to look at.
These crabs are so cool, just hard to get a picture of them. I love the vibrant colors.
