The Drive

It's been a while!  We are starting to feel settled here in our new home.  This is the last picture of our family on the East Coast.  We thought it would be fun to take a picture of us on the Atlantic beach and then take a picture when we are on the Pacific.

Our moving was a little delayed.  The moving company ended up getting to our house at 8 p.m.  (supposed to be at our house at 10 a.m. :)  They were gone by 11, but since we had planned on sleeping at hotels, we didn't have any blanket/pillows to sleep on!
We made it work with some blankets of Macie's.  We woke up at 6 a.m. and were on our way.
We drove both cars over.  This is the set up in the van.  The van was our "Movie Car" and the truck was the "tablet game car."  The boys would switch back and forth to stay entertained.  The did work pretty well.  They had a good time.  They were so excited to be constantly getting Gatorade and juice from gas stations and to eat out all those meals.  Cedric fell in love with McDonald's breakfast, especially the yogurt.
They also loved jumping on the best at hotel rooms...

Here is their first time in the desert.  As Tyson and I were watching them look around we were commenting to each other how barren and ugly it was.
When Cedric walked back to us he started talking about how cool and beautiful everything was.
Perspective!

We made it to Cali Saturday night.  We did go and see the ocean that night.  The next day we took a walk on the O-side pier and got a picture of us on the West Coast.  So fun and so happy we made it safe and sound!

The next day we took our first beach trip.  Cedric and Gabe loved climbing up the hills by the beach.

I loved seeing the West Coast sunset again!  I was looking forward to seeing these again!

The boys first time in the ocean here.  For a couple of weeks they were super scared --- of the kelp.
So slimy!  Now they are used to it and don't mind it at all.  They really love how strong the waves are here.  Cedric has been going out pretty deep to boogie board.
Tyson and I have, of course, enjoyed the fun waves!  This is Tyson on the first day here, kind of a small day.

We are so grateful for all of our experiences here...

…but so grateful to be here.  We know we are where we belong and that is the best feeling!
